Tentmaker Clothing was born out of a season of stillness. During the global shutdown of 2020, our founder, Danny Gamez—a pastor serving in Downey, California since 2016—found himself reflecting on the intersection of faith, provision, and hard work.
The inspiration for the brand came directly from the life of the Apostle Paul. In Acts 18:3, we learn that Paul was a tentmaker by trade. He worked with his hands to support himself financially, ensuring that his ministry and the message of the Gospel could be shared freely, without placing a burden on the early church.
For Danny, the concept of a "tentmaker" became a powerful symbol. It represents a deep trust in God’s perfect provision, combined with the willingness to work hard so that the work of the ministry can continue unhindered. That same spirit is woven into the fabric of this brand.
